Sendor that is best in a digital SLR camera, CCD or CMOS?

What is the difference in the quality of the photographs taken by the these 2 different sensors.

At this point, are comparable. Quality CCD CMOS years behind, but no longer the case. From the perspective of manufacturers, use less energy CMOS and less expensive to manufacture. I would say there are surely more CCD cameras that use CMOS, but simply because most manufacturers are going in this direction to begin.
